While Navarre Beach does have one beachfront hotel, the 161-room SpringHill Suites by Marriott, you wouldn’t consider this a resort town. Several artificial reefs sit close to the shore, making them easily accessible. You’ll shut out the outside world and enter another solitary one.
But sublime relaxation is by no means confined to the beach. How about lying in a tube and floating down a slow-moving river through pine forests? That’s the bliss you’ll feel when tubing on the Blackwater River for a couple of hours. Operators will rent you a floatable, drive you to a spot upstream, then pick you up downstream. The whole experience is hassle-free.
A cold beer has been known to cap off a lovely day and add a little extra relaxation to what you already feel. Sip local brews at Ye Old Brothers Brewery and St. Michaels Brewing Company in Navarre and Beardless Brewhaus up in Milton.

Let’s not overlook the sunsets — and the sunrises, too. Navarre Beach faces southward, so you get both. Here’s a great way to experience them: Stroll to the end of the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier, which — at 1,545 feet — is the longest fishing pier in Florida. It’s a lovely walk no matter the time of day, but sunrise and sunset are where the magic really happens.
