It’s important to make time for family, and Navarre Beach is the perfect place to do it. Plan your next family reunion in Florida’s Most Relaxing Place for the best of Florida beaches, nature and charm. To give you a head start, we came up with a few tips to help you have the best family reunion ever in Navarre Beach.

1. Book Early

Planning a family vacation is hard enough, but when you need to coordinate multiple family members’ schedules and lives, it can get crazy. Planning and booking your dates early will allow everyone to get time off work or school, ensuring you have a great turnout.

2. Find a Great Location to Stay

The idea is that you all want to be close together so that meeting up is simple and easy. Luckily, there are a large variety of beautiful, spacious and memorable places to stay in the Navarre area. Be surrounded by trees and the woodlands when you rent space at a cabin or campground at Adventure’s Unlimited or Coldwater Gardens. Stay by the beach with a room block at one of our hotels like Springhill Suites. Or find somewhere with charm and a homey-feel by renting out a beach house or large condo. Whether your family is big or small, we’re sure you can find the perfect accommodations.

3. Plan a Group Meal

Family meals are a great way to get everyone together to chat, have fun and bond. Ideally, you’ll find a large enough restaurant with a varied menu to cater to even the pickiest of eaters. We recommend places like Blackwater Bistro, Boomerang Pizza Kitchen and Dewey Destin’s. Each has a large enough menu and universally loved items (pizza, burgers, etc.), so they’re sure to please everyone’s palate.

4. Go on a Group Activity

It wouldn’t be Florida’s Most Relaxing Place if there weren’t a lot of fun and relaxing activities to do here! Plan some group fun to make lasting memories together with the whole family. Explore the Blackwater River State Forest by zip line, or tube down the pristine Coldwater Creek. Lounge in the sun on the white sand beaches of Navarre Beach, or paddleboard on the Navarre Sound. Go learn about the history of the area at some of the museums and historic sites. With so many family-friendly things to do, you can keep everyone entertained and happy while enjoying cherished moments.

5. Include Plenty of “Down” Time

While you’ll want to make the most of your time together, don’t forget to include downtime in your schedule. Family time is great, but no one knows how to “push your buttons” like family, and everyone needs a little alone time now and again. So, be sure to have time in your getaway for people to explore the area by themselves. This could be a good opportunity for parents and children to go to the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Sanctuary or for the adults to spend time at a local brewery. No matter what, you’ll have all the more fun and energy by doing stuff together.
