Our 5 Favorite Kid-Friendly Summertime Activities in the Navarre Beach Area

We all love the beach, but there’s even more to do when you visit us this summer! So grab the family and make the most of the sunshine with our 5 Favorite Kid-Friendly Summertime Activities.

Navarre Beach

Obviously, we need to top our list with the most summery activity there is…going to the beach! Relax on the beautiful, white quartz sand and build epic sand castles. Or make a splash in the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico by riding paddleboards, skim boards, boogie boards or just swimming. Another cool thing on Navarre Beach is the “Borrow Bin,” a project started by the local Eagle Scouts in which beachgoers can “borrow” children’s beach toys rather than having to buy their own. The bin is located at the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center, but the Eagle Scouts hope to place more bins around the area in the near future.

Navarre Beach Pier

Cast a line for fun when you come out to the Navarre Beach Pier! Grab the family to explore Florida’s longest pier (over four football fields long!). Fish for Mahi-mahi, Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Wahoo, Cobia and more. Or simply watch the waves and catch one of our breathtaking sunrises or sunsets.

Navarre Children’s Park

There’s nothing like a cool splashpad and playground to spend an afternoon, so make sure to check out the Navarre Children’s Park. Located right on the Sound, you get it all—beautiful views, silly water fun, and a clean and safe place for the kids to play. And not only that, the park is conveniently located near the Tourism Development Office, so stop on in and grab a free Visitor Guide to check out everything Navarre Beach has to offer!

Navarre Beach Marine Science Station

Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean the learning has to stop! Get hands-on marine and environmental education when you visit the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station. With camps, guided tours and events, this is an awesome place to hang out with kids interested in marine life.

Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center

Created as a way to protect the threatened and endangered sea turtles of the area, the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center is another opportunity for educational fun! Families can learn about the different kinds of sea turtles, their environments, and even meet injured turtles deemed non-releasable by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.
