2026 Tax Capital Projects
Funding Application
Projects must take place in fiscal year 2026/2027 (October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027) and must enhance tourism, strengthen community identity, and contribute long-term value to Santa Rosa County.
The deadline to apply is March 2, 2026.
Before beginning your application, please review the program requirements:
- Projects must be past the design phase to qualify.
- Match funds must be secured and available as real cash (donations or dedicated grants; not in-kind).
- Permits must be attainable by the applicant.
- Cities are eligible for a 40% match up to $150,000.
- Non-Government Organizations are eligible for a 50% match up to $50,000.
- Applicants must wait 3 years after receiving funding before requesting additional or new capital project funds.
Please have the following information ready:
- Project summary and projected timeline
- Construction details, plans, or schematics (if available)
- Proof of match funds
- FEID and organization details
- Estimated attendance, room night projections, and marketing plan
- Event and utilization history if expanding an existing facility
Next steps after submission:
- The TDC Board of Directors will review your application on March 19, 2026.
- Final approval will be completed by the TDO Director and SRC BOCC (TBD).
- Approved project funding will be reimbursed after project completion, expenses are documented and verified no later than September 15, 2027, and an update is presented at a TDC Meeting.
