25th 9/11 Anniversary Stair Climb

If you run, walk, or work out to stay fit, we invite you to join us on September 11th for our annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. This event is an opportunity to honor the sacrifices made on that day while challenging yourself physically and supporting our future firefighters. It also serves as a meaningful way to change your exercise routine for the day. Shorts and tee shirts are acceptable. Bunker gear is not a requirement. The event is free and open to the public, whether you are a firefighter or not. Participants may choose their own pace and goal. There will not be any awards or tee shirts given. Some will complete the full 110‑floor climb (11 floors climbed 10 times), while others may choose a distance that is right for them. Please remember to bring water.

All proceeds will be used to purchase firefighting bunker gear. Four of our lifeguards will be attending the fire academy beginning in January, and the cost to outfit one firefighter is $3,581. It is our goal to fully fund the equipment needs for each of these future firefighters.
