Waterfront Dining and Drinking
One of the great pleasures of visiting Navarre Beach is eating and drinking at the fun and tasty waterside restaurants that look out over Santa Rosa Sound or the Gulf of Mexico. They range from party central to low-key hideaways. Here’s a look:
Windjammers on the Pier
Located at the base of the Navarre Fishing Pier, Windjammers is the pinnacle of beachfront fun. This beach shack serves up wings, burgers, sandwiches, seafood and other beachy fare right at the base of the Navarre Fishing Pier.
8579 Gulf Blvd, Navarre Beach
Right across Gulf Boulevard from Lagerheads, Juana’s Pagados, a complex of thatched-roof huts, is a combination beach bar, restaurant, gift shop and rental place for sailing and jet skits. It’s the first thing you run into once you cross the Navarre Beach Causeway.

Beach House Bar & Grille
Overlooking the Gulf, Beach House is more upscale and low-key. You can tell because there’s an “e” on the end of “Grill.” The restaurant touts its fresh, seasonal and unique local ingredients. The dining room sits on stilts, and there’s a terrific deck, where you can sip a craft cocktail. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Shark Bite Navarre
This funky, colorful place is a permanent food trailer with seating around it. Breakfast at Shark Bite is the ideal way to fuel up for a day at the beach. Lunch, too.

The Slippery Mermaid
This waterfront sushi bar, located in a bungalow, has a bit of Jimmy Buffet-style flair. Its slogan is “Let’s Roll a Fat One.”

East River Smokehouse
This friendly barbecue joint doubles as a sports bar, and has live music. Full bar, too.

Helen Back Again Navarre
One of those party-central spots we were talking about. Helen Back Again, one of six locations in the region, serves pizza, sandwiches and starters, and features a full bar.
