    1. Watch the Leaves Change Color
The true sign that autumn is finally here is when the leaves change color. See the canopies of the Blackwater River State Park turn bright reds, yellows and oranges with a beautiful hike on a crisp day.
    2. Have a Taste of the Season
We all think of specific scents and flavors when we think of fall: apple, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, cinnamon, cranberry and more. So lean into the spirit of the season and check out some of our local restaurants, desserts shops and cafes that are serving up your favorite flavors. Have a pecan pie at Milton Quality Bakery. Get a turkey cranberry sandwich at Blackwater Bistro. And it’s not really fall until you’ve had a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Deb’s Coffee Drive-Thru.

    1. Find Your Way Through a Corn Maze
While they’re a time-honored tradition in much of the country, corn mazes aren’t especially common in Florida. So make sure to take advantage of this autumn activity and spend an afternoon in one of the mazes you’ll find at Holland Farms or Sweet Season Farms. Better yet, try them all and see which one is the best!.
    2. Roast Some Apples & Have Some Campfire Fun
With the weather cooling down, it’s the perfect time to go camping in North County. Check out Coldwater Gardens and Adventures Unlimited for incredible campsites where you can build campfires, roast marshmallows and apples, and really relish the beautiful temperatures of Florida in fall.
    3. Go on a Hayride!
There’s something romantic, quaint and fun about a hayride, and what better excuse to go on one than by celebrating the kick-off of fall? Whether you go with your kids, friends or that special someone, you can enjoy the experience of an old-school hayride at Holland Farms and Sweet Season Farms.
